When players put the ball back in their stance, the \u201cplane\u201d of the swing gets too much on the inside, causing impact and direction problems.<\/p>\n<h3><strong><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright\" src=\"https:\/\/www.glenelggolf.com\/cms\/wp-content\/uploads\/Junior_Golf\/GJ1.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"150\" \/><\/strong>Solution<\/h3>\n<p>Try putting the ball up in to the front half of the stance and also stand in closer to the ball. Getting close or \u201ccramping\u201d the ball helps to promote an on plane swing path. Simply use your body to rotate and create the momentum of the swing and allow your hands to release the club to impact.<\/p>\n<p>When taking your address position, try to maintain some pressure between your upper arms and your ribs. The club head should swing up the plane line, not inside or outside the plane line.<\/p>\n<p>Try this drill to help your connection of body and arm action. Take hold of the club with your right hand only, with your left hand hold your right bicep. Keep your weight in your left foot as you swing the club back, then, gently turn your body through to the target.
