\"\"<\/a>\"\"<\/a>Jacqui Whitford, daughter of 6-time Club Champion, Chris Whitford, and granddaughter of Owen Whitford, has teamed up with Club pennant representative, James Brown, to take out the 2013 Owen Whitford Trophy.<\/p>\n

Jacqui, who only recently joined Glenelg, was very proud to take out the title named in honour of her late grandfather and keep the trophy safely in family hands.<\/p>\n

Whitford and Brown claimed the title 3&1 in a thrilling match of mixed foursomes handicap matchplay, defeating current Women’s Club Champion, Jill Hodge and her husband, Andrew.\u00a0 After jumping to an early lead, Whitford and Brown were able to fend off a strong comeback attempt by the Hodges through the middle few holes, and calmly took the match at the 17th hole.<\/p>\n
