\"\"<\/a>One hurdle remains for Campbell Rawson, as he aims to make amends for his loss in last year’s Club Championship Final. David Hiern however heads into his first final at the bay, after moving from Flagstaff Hill just over 12 months ago.<\/p>\n

Rawson was forced to come from behind in both matches after being down early in the morning against 8th qualifier Sam Raschella. It was an easy win in the end however after Rawson found his form for a 5\/4 victory. Leigh Attenborough was up for a much stronger fight in the afternoon after he accounted for Brian Welsh 3\/2 in the morning quarter finals. Attenborough got off to a strong start against Rawson and had he holed a 6 footer on 18 for birdie, both players would have been venturing down 19 for more golf. After a high quality match it would be Rawson who would move through to the Club Championship Final with a hard fought 1up victory.<\/p>\n

\"\"Third qualifier, Lachlan Booth faced Anthony Olsen in the final quarter final of the morning and was off to a hot start being 2up through three holes. Olsen began to strike the ball more solidly and eventually took the lead on 11th hole and moved into the semi final with a 2\/1 victory.\u00a0 David Hiern took a free ride through to the semi finals after second qualifier, Matt Overall severely sliced his finger during the week. The free ride continued as Olsen got off to another sluggish start in the afternoon and was four up through five holes. Olsen found a bit of form in the latter holes, but Hiern was always in control and eventually closed the match out on the 16th green.<\/p>\n

Josie Hodge moved through into the final of the Women’s Open Championship with a hard fought 2up victory over Sam White. Number one qualifier, Jill Hodge will face daughter, Josie, in the final, after Jill moved through on a forfeit.<\/p>\n

Some tight matches were also played in the semi finals of the Senior, B & C Grade Championship and A, B & C Grade Plate.<\/p>\n
