\"\"<\/a>Rare sunshine greeted 19 pairings for the 2013 Tuohy Trophy family foursomes event on Sunday, 25th August 2013.<\/p>\n

It was the experienced father-son pairing of Geoff and Leigh Attenborough who proved far too strong for the field, winning by a convincing 7 shot margin. The trophy was presented by South Australian Golf Hall of Fame member, Bob Tuohy and his son, Ben.<\/p>\n

The father-son pairings (and anyone named ‘Paul’) dominated the scoresheet with Paul and Jack McGrath finishing second, ahead of last year’s winners, Paul & Henry Duregon, whilst Paul & Liam Kennewell finished fourth.<\/p>\n

The Tuohy Family is synonymous at Glenelg Golf Club and an outstanding family to be honoured by this event.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>Bob Tuohy <\/strong>has been an active contributor to golf at this Club, locally, nationally and internationally for more than 50 years. He has had an amazingly successful career as a tournament promoter, responsible for some of the biggest tournaments in Australia & New Zealand, including the ANZ Ladies Masters, NZ Open, NZ PGA, The Player\u2019s Championship and Tour Championship, and the Jacob\u2019s Creek Open to name just a few. And it all started with the 1976 West Lakes Classic at which a young golfer by the name of Greg Norman earned the first of many tournament wins at Grange Golf Club.<\/p>\n
