{"id":4589,"date":"2013-07-29T08:42:04","date_gmt":"2013-07-28T23:12:04","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.glenelggolf.com\/cms\/?p=4589"},"modified":"2023-06-20T15:44:45","modified_gmt":"2023-06-20T06:14:45","slug":"we-appreciate-the-thought-but","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.glenelggolf.com\/cms\/2013\/07\/we-appreciate-the-thought-but\/","title":{"rendered":"We appreciate the thought, but&#8230;&#8230;."},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.glenelggolf.com\/cms\/wp-content\/uploads\/sprayphoto.JPG\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft\" title=\"Spraying by people other than our trained maintenance staff can cause significant damage if the incorrect product is used\" alt=\"\" src=\"https:\/\/www.glenelggolf.com\/cms\/wp-content\/uploads\/sprayphoto.JPG\" width=\"530\" height=\"298\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>There has been some evidence of spraying being undertaken by people other than members of our Course Maintenance Team.<\/p>\n<p class=\"highlight\">While it may be tempting for some to &#8220;help out&#8221; where they see a need, it is critical that spraying is left to our qualified staff. The use of the incorrect product has caused significant damage to turf (see image), and this can be spread further if our staff are not aware of areas that have been treated.<\/p>\n<p>Once applied, some products can re-activate the next day if there is a dew, and this can then be tracked by mowers and maintenance equipment first thing in the morning.
