(Team Manager)<\/strong><\/p>\n

This week, Glenelg’s Junior Pennant side took on a young but determined Flagstaff Hill and ground out a 3 to 2 victory.\u00a0 Sam Raschella, Jack Hynes and Todd Williams continued their form from the week previous to secure the win.<\/p>\n

Josh Hodgson made his debut for Glenelg this week. He played well and will be better for the experience.\u00a0 Josh was competitive all day and led for most of the match but unfortunately he missed a few putts on the back nine and went down on the 18th.<\/p>\n

Todd Williams pulled his game from the fire to get the team the 3rd win they required.\u00a0 Todd was 3 down after 8 holes and racking up a cricket score.\u00a0 But as Todd does he then flicks a switch and makes it look easy all of a sudden – it just takes the front nine to warm up.\u00a0 Todd won five holes in a row to cruise to a 3\/1 victory and he reckons it was never in doubt.<\/p>\n

Jack Hynes struck the ball brilliantly all day and won his game easily 6\/5.\u00a0 Jack\u2019s long game was at a level that wouldn\u2019t be out of place in Simpson Cup.\u00a0\u00a0 He is really emotionally balanced on the course and is great to watch.<\/p>\n

Sam Raschella got the promotion to number two this week and did not let the team down.\u00a0 Sam is starting to consistently perform in all areas of the game now and is winning matches like he should.\u00a0 If Sam can continue this form for the rest of the season it provides a huge benefit to the team structure.<\/p>\n

Haydn Booth was promoted to number one and by his own admission did not have his best day.\u00a0 Haydn was not hitting the ball as he would have liked but fought all day to go down 3\/2.\u00a0 Knowing Haydn he is a hard worker and he will be back on next week.<\/p>\n

The team is starting to play for each other and we just need to keep winning.\u00a0 It was great to see Matilda Wheare, Liam Kennewell and Jackson Kalz all caddying for their fellow juniors along with regular caddies Fran Brown and Kevin Booth.\u00a0 This week we are playing the Grange Gold team and they will again be another strong test.<\/p>\n
