\"\"<\/a>Glenelg’s Josh Hayes has played outstanding golf to finish outright 5th, and the leading South Australian, in the 2013 Tasmanian Junior Masters, played at Tasmania Golf Club last month.<\/p>\n

Hayes finished the 72-hole tournament at 11-over with rounds of 77, 74, 72, 76, only five shots behind eventual winner, Brett Coletta of Sandhurst Club in Victoria, who took the title in a three-way playoff. \u00a0Hayes was the leading player under 18 years of age.<\/p>\n

His performance followed up a similarly impressive result in the Tamar Valley Junior Cup played at Greens Beach Golf Club a week earlier. \u00a0Hayes finished in 8th position on a four-round total of 300 (77, 74, 77, 72), eleven shots behind winner Zach Murray of Wodonga Golf Club.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>Hayes was joined in Tasmania by club mates, Sam Raschella and Will Starkey, who both performed well in the events. \u00a0In the Tasmanian Junior Masters, Raschella finished in a tie for 17th position with rounds of\u00a079, 80, 75, 78, 312<\/strong>, while Starkey was a further seven shots back tied 22nd with rounds of\u00a077, 83, 77, 82.<\/p>\n

Starkey finished 20th in the Tamar Valley Junior Cup after rounds of\u00a078, 79, 81, 82 for a 72-hole total of 320. \u00a0Raschella fired a four-round total of 327 (82, 78, 84, 83) to be tied 24th.<\/span><\/p>\n
