Dear Members,<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Welcome back!<\/p>\n

Finally, I am the bearer of good news! Our team is excited to see you all back enjoying a meal and a few drinks in our freshly renovated Clubhouse, in just a few days\u2019 time.<\/p>\n

With the State Government yesterday announcing further easing of COVID Safe restrictions, I am happy to share the Glenelg Safe Plan for the next fortnight.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Clubhouse Re-Opening \u2013 Tuesday 2nd<\/sup> June<\/strong><\/p>\n

With the State Government bringing the opening date for Clubs forward, the team are working extremely hard to finalise Clubhouse renovations in preparation to officially open on Tuesday 2nd<\/sup> June<\/strong><\/u>.<\/p>\n

There will be a couple of areas with work still going throughout the Clubhouse, and we appreciate your patience as we finalise these items. The upstairs toilets in particular, will be out of action for an additional week as final touches are completed.<\/p>\n

The Clubhouse will accommodate 80 patrons at any one time, so all rooms will need to be utilised as we are bound by the new rules of a maximum of 20 patrons per area.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Locker Rooms \u2013 Monday 1st<\/sup> June<\/strong><\/p>\n

The locker rooms will be open from Monday 1st<\/sup> June<\/u>, however, the showers will remain closed until further notice, as per the current government recommendations.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Toilets <\/strong><\/p>\n

Please continue to use the toilet facilities downstairs as we finalise the upgrade of the upstairs toilets. We expect the new toilets to be completed in the week commencing 8th<\/sup> June<\/u>.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Two Tee Starts \u2013 Wednesday 3rd<\/sup> June<\/strong><\/p>\n

We will be returning to normal two tee starts from Wednesday 3rd<\/sup> June. This will allow 46 additional players to enter the Pro Shop and Club competitions on Wednesdays and Saturdays, in addition to providing extra spots for Members to play in their preferred times.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Practice Facilities \u2013 Monday 1st<\/sup> June<\/strong><\/p>\n

From Monday 1st<\/sup> June all practice facilities will return to normal operation and therefore accommodate most players. Practice green flags will remain out for now. Please continue to social distance in all areas and observe the dividers on the practice range, to avoid congestion.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

1st Hole out of Play \u2013 Wednesday 27th<\/sup> May through to Friday 29th<\/sup> May <\/strong><\/p>\n

The 1st<\/sup> Hole will be out of play from Wednesday through to Friday. The irrigation blowout is a little more complex than originally anticipated and therefore our team require a solid three days to repair the main line, without interruption. Play will also commence from the 10th<\/sup> Tee and the 19th<\/sup> hole will be in play on these days.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Gathering and Social Distancing<\/strong><\/p>\n

Whilst the above changes are a positive step to normality, the social distancing and group gathering rules of 20 must still be obeyed<\/u>. Please continue to social distance by following the 1.5m rule at all times and continue the good practice of touchless routines.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Once again, I would like to thank all Glenelg Golf Club Members for their understanding and patience over the last two months. We are excited to see everyone back in the Clubhouse enjoying our hospitality. For me in particular, I am looking forward to getting to know you all better over the coming weeks, months, and years.<\/p>\n
