\"\"<\/a>In August 2017, one of the clubs very well known, Emma Sutton followed her dreams and moved to the USA to pursue her passion in the game of golf. She moved over on a golf scholarship to Towson College which has seen her improve in many ways, both on the golf course and in the classroom.<\/p>\n

Hi everyone,<\/p>\n

As I prepare to head back to the US to continue my college adventure, I thought I would take some time to give you all an insight into college life. My time home has sure flown by but I am excited to see what this semester holds for me.<\/p>\n

The athletic side of college is very time consuming, but we don\u2019t mind because we are able to play golf so often at a competitive level. We practice six days a week, have workouts twice a week, do charity work for both the school and wider community, travel for tournaments, see a variety of service providers (psychologist, dietitian, physiotherapist), all whilst maintaining a full course load. There are seven girls in our squad and only five make the team for each tournament, so we are not just practising but also trying to qualify. I made the team twice and travelled as an individual once, which as a Freshman I made sure not to go in with too higher expectations on making the team each week. I was able to travel to both Delaware and Florida for tournaments, with our home tournament being in Maryland. I have had some mixed results but can certainly see improvement in my game. I managed to have my career low round of 74, +2, on a tough course where my score was the third best of that round.<\/p>\n

Study has not been too much of a challenge for me compared to Australia but the amount of work required is significant, I obtained a GPA of 3.81\/4.0 for my first semester which I am very happy about. I applied for and have been accepted into the Honours College, which is a different type of learning with better teachers and smaller class sizes. It means that I will graduate with a Degree with Honours.<\/p>\n

So far, my college experience has been great and I do not regret going over one bit. It is something that I would definitely recommend to anyone thinking about it.<\/p>\n
