Ahead of the Pennant Squad announcements for 2018, Glenelg Golf Club is pleased to advise a number of local businesses have thrown their support behind our successful program.
Following unprecedented success in the 2017 Pennant Season we are seeking your support to maintain the momentum in 2018.
TWO of Australia’s brightest young golfing talents helped Glenelg claim its third straight Grade 1 women’s pennant this month.
Glenelg has taken out it’s first men’s pennant title since 2008, defeating the highly favoured Grange side in the 2014 Bonnar Cup Final at Flagstaff Hill Golf Club on Sunday.
Entry forms are now available for the 2014 Jimmy McLachlan Memorial Trophy, being played on Sunday, 13th April. The ‘Jimmy Mac’ is a 36 Hole Stroke Play Championship, open to all Full, Provisional, Intermediate and Junior male members of the Club with handicap of 12 or less, both amateurs and professionals. The event forms a key component of selection for the 2013 Golf SA Pennant squad.
Glenelg’s Women’s A2 pennant side defeated The Vines, three matches to two, in the second round match played at Grange on Monday.
Glenelg’s Junior pennant side has started the season in disappointing fashion, going down to Kooyonga 4.5 matches to 0.5.
Glenelg’s Simpson Cup team had a very good start to the pennant season with a strong win over Flagstaff Hill on Sunday winning 4-1/2 matches to 2-1/2 matches.
