Unfortunately the McMillan Shield Team went down 5 – 2 at West Lakes in what can only be described as near perfect conditions to enjoy a game of golf.

Glenelg went down 4 and 3 in the final McMillan Shield game in perfect conditions at The Grange Golf Club. With our 7 players ‘giving’ 68 shots to the Grange 2 team it was always going to be an uphill task to get a win.
Some days you just have to tip your hat and acknowledge you were beaten by a better team on the day. Despite going down to The Vines 6/1, many results were extremely close.
We are pleased to announce the team for McMillan Shield to take on The Vines at West Lakes GC this weekend, and the team for next weekend at The Grange.
Glenelg got a golfing lesson by a young West Lakes team at Thaxted Park, going down 6/1. The significant difference between the teams was West Lakes’ ability to quickly adapt to the fast-paced, multi-tiered greens.
In perfect weather and with The Vines in fantastic condition, Glenelg went down in another close contest 4/3 to Grange 1.

Glenelg entered a predominately girls team for this week’s encounter against Kooyonga (6 of 7 players). Dubbed ‘Girl Power Sunday’ the team went down 4 and 3 in another enthralling encounter.
