Q. Where is Glenelg Golf Club located?

A. Glenelg Golf Club is located in Adelaide, South Australia, on the southern boundary of Adelaide International Airport in the suburb of Novar Gardens.  It is situated only five minutes from Glenelg, Adelaide’s premier beach and tourist location, and only 15 minutes from the Adelaide CBD. Glenelg Golf Club is conveniently located to service the western, eastern and southern suburbs of Adelaide and is located near some of Adelaide’s premium public and private schools including Brighton High, Immanuel College, Westminster College, Marymount College, Scotch College ans Sacred Heart College.

Q. How do I join Glenelg Golf Club?

A.  All membership applicants must complete a membership application form. The form must be signed by two current members of the Club over the age of 18, and submit it to the Administration Office.

Q. How old do I have to be before I can join?

A.  In general, Juniors may not join the Club until they are 12 years old, however in certain circumstances, Juniors under the age of 12 can join. Once you turn 18, you transfer from Junior membership to Intermediate membership. At the age of 25, you become a Provisional member.

Q. Do my parents have to be members?

A.  Juniors can join, irrelevant of whether or not you have relatives that are members at Glenelg.

Q. Do I have to pay an Entrance Fee?

A.  All new members joining Glenelg must pay an Entrance Fee, including Juniors. However, Juniors pay a substantially discounted Entrance Fee payable in installments, provided that 50% is paid by the age of 21. The remainder must be paid by 25. No Entrance Fee is payable in the first year of membership. Once this Entrance Fee has been paid in full, no further payments are required upon transferring to adult membership.

Q. What are my rights as a Junior member?

A.  Junior members, as with all members, have full use of the Clubhouse and Practice facilities. Some playing restrictions apply on certain days of the week, but generally, Juniors have full access to the course.

Q. Can I bring my mum, dad or a friend out for a game?

A.  Juniors must be a member for at least 1 year before they can invite a guest out to play with them. Juniors may not invite more than 1 guest at any time without permission from the Administration Office, but this is possible.
