Club Operations & Membership Manager

Glenelg Golf Club is one of Adelaide’s leading private golf clubs and multi-award-winning function centre with a vision of being the destination Golf Club in SA for experiences that inspire and connect members, families, and communities.

We are now seeking to appoint a highly motivated dynamic individual in the full-time position of Club Operations & Membership Manager.

Reporting to the General Manager, the purpose of this role is to provide operational support and management of all aspects of a strong membership base and member experience at Glenelg Golf Club. The position works collaboratively across the Golf Club to support its strategic objectives and operational plans.

Responsibilities

  • Maintenance of a strong membership base and waiting list
  • Develop, manage and implement plans to grow the Club’s business through strong relationships with stakeholders including Members, sponsors, partners and corporate clients
  • Assist the General Manager in day-to-day operations
  • Strategic planning & Committee support
  • Golf program assistance, including Junior development programs
  • The overall maintenance and acceptable presentation of the clubhouse facilities

Essential Criteria

  • Understanding of golf, golf programs and competitions
  • Experience with building and managing relationships both internally and externally
  • Understanding of Work Health and Safety principles
  • Proven people skills and the ability to work with all levels of staff
  • Strong attention to detail, organisation and time management skills
  • Energy, enthusiasm, commitment and the ability to earn the respect and trust of colleagues
  • The ability to work flexible hours including some weekend work is required
