Sam Hughes Appointed Club Operations Manager

I am delighted to announce that Sam Hughes has been appointed to the position of Club Operations Manager.

Sam (pictured) has worked in the Golf Industry for 14 years and has most recently been working for Shane Robinson in the Glenelg Pro Shop as the Golf Operations & Pro Shop Manager. Sam is a PGA Professional and currently sits on the PGA SA Division Committee. Sam is keen to pursue a career in Club Management and his experience in golf further enhances the golf knowledge of our administration team.

With both local and interstate applicants interviewed, Sam’s application and presentation was outstanding, and he did extremely well to beat a very strong field for the advertised position. He replaces David Rice, who recently departed the Club, and also takes on some duties from Raeleen Day, our Membership and Administration Officer, who is retiring at the end of this year.

Sam commences his new role on Tuesday 6^th October. I am sure that all Members will join me in congratulating Sam when they see him around the Club.
