Women’s A3, 3 from 3

Round 3, 20th May 2019

Glenelg defeated Mount Osmond 4 – 1 at Kooyonga. The course was in super condition for the day’s competition, on a pleasant, autumn day.

The team was in a very sound position after 9 holes.

Fiona Eblen, playing her first match for the season, was 4 up after nine holes. Fiona continued her positive match play skills to win 6/5, a great win!

Jo Ricourt continued her winning form. Jo played most consistent golf, finishing with a par on the par 3 15th . Another strong result!

Sue Tuohy added another win to her season. Sue was 2 up at the turn, and never let her opponent move ahead in the match; accurate skills around the greens resulted in a solid win.

Playing number 2, Jo Lendrum again played strong golf. Jo was also 2 up after nine, continued to hit long drives and playing the par 3’s with precision.

Unfortunately Sandy Francas, also playing her first match for the season,  found Mount Osmond’s  number one player just too steady on the day.

Another strong team win!

And thanks again to our most supportive caddies: Juliet Culley, Cathy Darling, Ros Osborn, Bob Tuohy and Wendy Vaughan.
