Three Glenelg women for home Interstate Series

Glenelg members will have three locals to cheer on during the upcoming Interstate Series with Sarah Crocker, Charley Jacobs & Elysia Yap all being named in the Women’sState Team for the third consecutive year.

Sarah Crocker brings a wealth of match play experience to the team having spent a period of five years undefeated in Pennant for Glenelg.  After a disappointing 2017 season and some hard work since, Sarah will be looking to take her career best form into this year’s matches.  Also in fantastic form is Charley Jacobs.  Charley enjoyed a win in the 2017 National 15 & Under Championship as well as three runner up finishes in the Victorian, Tasmanian and South Australian Junior Championships.  An explosive hitter, Charley could certainly cause some major upsets.  On the back of a great 2017 which saw her named as Number 1 in Golf SA’s Pennant Team of the Season, current Women’s Club Champion Elysia Yap will be a tough one to beat around her home course in her sixth State Team appearance.

Our girls will be joined in the team by Captain Jin-young Yun (The Grange), Caitlin Peirce (Royal Adelaide) and Caitlin Roberts (The Grange).

The Women’s Interstate Series will be played at Glenelg from Tuesday, 8th to Thursday, 10th May 2018.
