Congratulations to Adrian Wickstein

As announced earlier this week on the Golf SA website favourite son of Glenelg Golf Club, Adrian Wickstein has accepted the position of High Performance Director for Golf SA.  Adrian will report directly to the High Performance Director of Golf Australia.

Adrian joined Glenelg in 2001 and represented the Club in Pennant from 2002-2008.  Two Club Championships remain highlights alongside being named four times to represent South Australia, once as Captain in 2008.  These results showed early on his first-rate leadership qualities and the respect of his contemporaries.

Adrian began his PGA Traineeship in 2009, completing it in 2011 and since then has developed his craft through his tireless work on the Glenelg Junior Tigers Program as well as being contracted as the Golf SA HP Coach since 2015.

Highlights as a coach include winning the National Junior Interstate Series in 2016 and of course, back to back Simpson Cup wins for Glenelg in 2016-2017.

“I am looking forward to the challenges and opportunities that lay ahead.  I have loved my time at Glenelg, the great team in the Pro Shop and having fun with the members.

I will continue to coach members and visitors at Glenelg (booking through the club’s Timely appointment software) albeit on a limited basis.“

Members are invited to join us in celebrating Adrian’s appointment to be held on the balcony on Thursday, 15th February from 6:30pm.
