Kalz & Jacobs win Golf SA Junior Open eventsGlenelg’s Jackson Kalz & Charley Jacobs have won the Golf SA Junior Open events played at Tea Tree Gully and The Grange golf clubs this week.

Kalz, who fired an impressive -1 in the first round at Tea Tree Gully on Monday, followed up with a 2-over par 74 around The Grange West Course layout today. He finished at 2-over par, five shots ahead of Kyle Hayter from Kooyonga GC, who finished in 2nd place.

Another four Glenelg junior members finished in the top 10, with Jack Buchanan finishing in 4th place with rounds of 75 and 76. Jacob Rillotta and Liam Kennewell finished in 5th & 6th place with total scores of 154, and Frank Vucic finished in 8th place with rounds of 83 and 72.

Charley Jacobs took out the Girls event with a score of 81 in the first round at Tea Tree Gully, followed up with an 81 at The Grange. She finished with a total score of 162, two shots ahead of Jin-young Yun and Ella Adams from The Grange GC.
