Women’s Grade 1 have big win over Royal Adelaide

The A1s played a depleted Royal Adelaide team on Sunday and had another convincing 5/0 win to retain their position on top of the table.

Jess Burns and Matilda Wheare led the field and were never in trouble taking us to a great early lead with wins of 7/6 and 6/5.

The next to finish was Jenny Lee. She celebrated her return to form with an early finish on the 12th hole 7/6.

It was only a matter of time before Jill Hodge overcame her opponent winning 4/3 on the 15th hole and all the team were on hand to see Elysia Yap finish on the 16th hole 4/2.

Now we get down to business, taking on an unbeaten Grange at Royal Adelaide next week. This will be a rehearsal for the inevitable final against Grange the week after on their home ground.

Thanks to the supporters who came out on Sunday. We look forward to their support over the next fortnight.
