Provisional Membership
Provisional membership is the first step towards becoming a Full member of the Club.
Eligibility
Provisional membership is open to any person over the age of 22, nominated by two (2) playing members of the Club.
Playing Rights
- Men may not play before 12:30pm Tuesday
- Men may not play before 12:00pm Saturday. Between 12:00pm and 12:30pm at the discretion of the Pro Shop (Full members to receive priority). Any time after 12:30pm
- Women may not play before 1:30pm Saturday
- Not between 9:30am and 10:00am Sunday except at the request of the Junior Committee.

Full Membership
Full membership is the ultimate category of membership available at Glenelg Golf Club. It provides members with full access to the Clubâ??s facilities, maximum participation and playing rights.
Only Full members are eligible to be elected to the Committee of Management.
Eligibility
Full membership is open to all members transferring from Provisional or Intermediate membership in priority according to the Club Constitution.
Full Membership is open to any person entitled to membership pursuant to the agreement between the Club and Glenelg Golf Links Ltd.
Playing Rights
- Men may not play before 12:30pm Tuesday
- Women may play between 10:00am and 11:00am Saturday, but then not before 1:30pm.
- Not between 9:30am and 10:00am Sunday except at the request of the Junior Committee.

Junior Membership
Junior membership at Glenelg Golf Club offers boys and girls the chance to play golf at one of Adelaideâ??s most exclusive and progressive private clubs.
The Club has an active Junior Development Program, which includes free Sunday morning and school holiday clinics and other organised activities.
Playing Rights
Intermediate members have the same playing rights as Junior members:
- Exclusive rights to the tee on Sunday morning between 9:30am and 10:00am
- Can play in every Saturday competition provided they have a handicap of 12 or less otherwise, Juniors can play only one Saturday competition per month (depending on handicap and skill level) or anytime after 1:30pm.
- Girls may play anytime on Tuesday, while boys cannot play before 1:30pm on Tuesday

Intermediate Membership
Intermediate membership is a transitional membership category between Junior and Provisional/Full membership. It is open to members aged 18 to 22.
Eligibility
Junior members automatically transfer to Intermediate membership at the age of 18. Upon attaining the age of 23, Intermediate members are automatically transferred to Provisional membership. Limited entry is available to new members in this age category. Applications for Intermediate membership are encouraged and are approved at the discretion of the Committee of Management.
Playing Rights
Intermediate members have the same playing rights as Junior members:
- Exclusive rights to the tee on Sunday morning between 9:30am and 10:00am
- Can play in every Saturday competition provided they have a handicap of 12 or less otherwise, Juniors can play only one Saturday competition per month (depending on handicap and skill level) or anytime after 1:30pm.
- Girls may play anytime on Tuesday, while boys cannot play before 1:30pm on Tuesday
Veteran Membership
Eligibility
Veteran membership is only available to existing members of Glenelg Golf Club. To be eligible for Veteran membership, you must be at least 70 years of age, and be a long-standing members of the golf club. Applications must be made to the Committee of management to transfer to Veteran membership.
Entitlements
- May play 12 rounds of golf per membership year.
- No use of the course on Saturdays.
- Use of the Clubâ??s practice facilities.
- Unrestricted playing in Twilight competitions that are not counted in the total number of rounds allowed.
- Veteran members may introduce visitors to the course. Veteran members may not transfer back to their previous membership category.

Country Membership
Eligibility
Country Membership is available to a person who either:
- Resides outside the SA Government Regions of Eastern, Western, Southern or Northern Adelaide, or Adelaide Hills: or
- Is a Full, Provisional or Junior members who moves his/her residence to the area defined in (a), interstate or overseas.
Playing Rights
Country members are entitled to enjoy the facilities of the Club and to free access to the course as follows:
- Twenty (20) rounds per year, comprising up to five (5) rounds under Full membership conditions and the balance in accord to Provisional (or Junior) member rights, as appropriate; then
- an unlimited number of rounds played without introduction by a member, at member introduced rates
- an unlimited number of rounds in programmed Club twilight competitions.
Country members are entitled to all other membership entitlements including the ability to invite up to three (3) guests at any one time.

Weekday Membership
Eligibility
Weekday membership is only available to existing male and female playing members. Applications for Weekday membership must be made prior to 15th February each year to be considered for the next membership year. Members will be transferred into the Weekday category to fill vacancies with years of membership determining priority. A member who transfers to the Weekday category may not revert to their former category or any other category with greater playing rights.
Playing Rights
- Weekday members may not play on Saturday and may only play on Sunday in programmed Club events.
- Male Weekday members may not play before 12:30pm on Tuesday. Female weekday members may not play before 12:30pm on Wednesday.

Absentee membership
Eligibility
Members may apply for a leave of absence based on one of Medical or Personal grounds. Any application on medical grounds must be supported by a medical certificate from a qualified medical practitioner.
Members may be granted leave for a minimum of six (6) months, up to a maximum period at the discretion of the Committee of Management.
For personal reasons, members may be granted leave for a minimum of twelve (12) months, up to a maximum period at the discretion of the Committee of Management.
At the conclusion of the period of absence, members will be transferred back t their former membership category at the discretion of the Committee of Management.
Playing rights
Absentee members can play up to a maximum of six (6) games per year, paying the applicable green fee. These games can be played in accordance with your previous categories playing rights. Absentee members must report to the Pro Shop prior to playing golf and may introduce visitors.
Absentee members may practice golf at the Club, and may continue to use the Clubâ??s Bar and Bistro facilities.
