Junior Membership & Golf
Junior membership at Glenelg Golf Club offers boys and a girl of all levels the chance to play golf at one of Australia's premier golfing facilities. An outstanding 18 hole golf course is rated amongst the top 50 courses nationally, presenting a true world-class challenge.
What will it cost me?
To help in promoting junior golf, Entrance Fees for Junior and Intermediate members are substantially discounted from the Entrance Fee paid by adult members. Importantly, there will be no additional Entrance Fee for Junior Members, should they progress into Provisional or Full membership.
The entrance fee is payable in installments, negotiated between yourself and the Club, provided that 50% of the total entrance fee is paid by the age of 21. The remainder is to be paid by the age of 25. The younger you join, the longer you have to pay your Entrance Fee.

3-Month Junior Trial Membership
Glenelg Golf Club understands that trying a sport before you commit is important, which is why we offer a 3-month Junior Trial membership. This is a great way to try the course and practice facilities prior to joining.
Junior Trial membership includes:
- Two (2) lessons with the Club Professional
- Ten (10) small buckets of balls for the Practice Range
- Restricted planning rights
You can plan any time in accordance with Junior Playing Rights during the 3-month Trial Period (except Saturday). You must also have adult supervision or we can arrange supervision for you.
At the end of the 3-month Trial Period, you will be offered junior membership at the Club. A membership application fee is required to be eligible for Junior Trial membership. However, if you choose to continue as a Junior Member, following your 3-month trial, the applicable fee will be deducted from your junior subscription fees.
Junior Playing Rights
Juniors have exclusive rights to the tee on Sunday mornings between 9:30am and 10:00am. This means it’s all about you with no adults around!
Juniors can play in every Saturday competition provided you have an A Grade handicap (12 or less for boys, 18 or less for girls). Otherwise, you can play one Saturday competition per month (depending on handicap and skill level), or at any time after 1:30pm.
Travel
Playing other golf courses, and visiting other golfing facilities is important in progressing your game. Consequently, we provide Junior Members as many opportunities as possible, to play golf at other courses and to meet other junior golfers around the state and country.
These trips are a great, fun way to make new friends at other clubs and to gain experiences playing courses other than your own. This also gives you the chance to show other golfers what you have got!
