Looking across the 7th hole

Golf Australia Top 100 CoursesGlenelg Golf Club has continued its meteoric  rise up the Golf Australia Top 100 Rankings and is now ranked 25th in Australia, up 3 places from its ranking in 2014.

Golf Australia Magazine released their January 2016 edition this week which included their biennial ranking of Australia’s best golf courses, and for the first time, Glenelg has been recognised as the 2nd best golf course in South Australia.

Royal Adelaide climbed one position to 10th and to once again be considered as one of the top 10 courses in Australia, whilst Kooyonga remained steady at position 26, one behind Glenelg’s new ranking.

Grange’s two courses figured strongly in the rankings as well, with the West course at 28th whilst the Greg Norman designed East course came in at 35th, four positions higher than in 2014.

A full listing of Australia’s Top 100 Course can be seen in the January 2016 edition of Golf Australia Magazine.

The Top 100 Australian Golf Course Rankings edition of the magazine coincides with a course review by deputy editor, Steve Keipert, who recently played at Glenelg.  Keipert was extremely impressed with the course and was highly complimentary of the recent “tweaking” works undertaken by Course Architect, Neil Crafter, and Course Superintendent, Daryl Sellar.
