Grange’s Jack Williams & Matt Lisk have taken out this year’s Junior Shootout with a scorching afternoon round of 63 (8-under) to follow their 1-over par 72 in the morning round.  With golf as hot as the weather, Williams & Lisk played solid golf to take out the gross event from local favourites, Sam Hynes & Todd Williams, who fired rounds of 73, 67 to be five shots shy of the winners.

In the net event, Steve Deally joined forces with Henry Duregon to fire a 36-hole total of 132 7/8 around their home track, two shots ahead of James Miller & Matt Lange.  The win was more special for Deally, who only recently had surgery on his left eye after a freakish attack at a friend’s birthday celebrations almost left him without sight in his eye - a great effort to come back so soon and play so well.

In the 18-hole events, Glenelg’s Josh Hodgson & Jack Hynes took out the AM Gross firing a 6-over 77 in the Canadian Foursomes, ahead of Nick Taylor & Eric Nam on 79.  Grange’s Michael & Colin Coleman took out the PM 2-Ball Ambrose gross with a 5-under 66, on a countback from Mt Osmond’s Rachel Taylor & Simon Brown.

A special thanks needs to be passed on to our generous sponsors, Schweppes, Titleist and Footjoy for their outstanding support of the event this year, with over $3,000 worth of prizes presented to winners today.
